The Novalis team of auction educators is truly unique. First, we are practicing auctioneers with decades of industry experience and award-winning auction marketing abilities. Secondly, we have specific expertise in many areas that may benefit auction professionals - in marketing real estate at auction, in selling auction services, strategic management for auction businesses, and in selling property though a variety of methods, to name a few. Not only that, we're experienced speakers and educators. We've taken continuing education ourselves in a variety of states, and know how to make taking courses both convenient and interesting for you.
Novalis, Inc. continues to develop new course programs to meet the needs of busy professionals. Current and future offerings include:

On site registration begins 30 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time for the class. All participants must show state-issued picture I.D. and provide license number for state credit.

Wisconsin Distance Learning Courses:
Distance Learning: Our distance learning program is deal for the individual who wants to earn continuing education credits at a time and a place that is convenient to them, without the hassle and expense of travelling to a classroom offering. Each student will receive a DVD, accompanying printed materials, and information on selecting a proctor for the examination required by the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing in order for you to receive credit. (Returning Novalis students can use their previously-approved proctor, if appropriate.)
How much CE? Wisconsin auctioneers are required to complete 12 hours of CE before December 14, 2008. The 3-hour ethics course is mandatory, and 9 additional hours must be taken through the remaining elective courses.
Dual Credit for Illinois: Five of the courses are also approved for auctioneer CE in Illinois. Illinois auctioneers must take 12 hours of CE every renewal period - at least 6 hours of mandatory courses and the remaining hours through elective courses. We will add a dual credit surcharge of $20 per course to your order if you want dual credit for your Illinois license.
Illinois Classroom Locations
Classroom Learning: Our experienced instructors make the classroom sessions both enjoyable and informative. These sessions are ideal for the person who appreciates interaction with both the instructor and their fellow auctioneers.

There are no classroom sessions currently scheduled for the 2009 renewal. As always, we will offer several classroom programs in various locations across Illinois beginning in early 2009. If you prefer to take your CE now, we invite to order our Video Home Study Courses.

Illinois Video Home Study Courses:
Continuing Education: Ideal for the individuals who want to earn continuing education credits at a time and a place that is convenient to them. The students will receive the same materials that are distributed in the classroom sessions, along with a videotape or DVD to provide the necessary instruction.
Pre-Licensing Education: Designed to prepare anyone for the Illinois Auctioneer License Examination. The topics covered in this course include: Illinois Auction License Law; Contracts and Escrow; and the Uniform Commercial Code portion of Federal Law. The students will receive hand-out materials, along with a videotape or DVD to provide the necessary instruction. When you select a course, please use the checkbox in the column that indicates whether you want a videotape or a DVD.
Dual Credit for Indiana: At this time, the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency does not accept distance learning courses for CE. However, all of our Illinois classroom offerings are approved for credit in Indiana. If you want dual credit for Indiana, you must take our classroom offerings.
